I guess summer has been crazy for everyone...I am going to fill in last minute for the month of August. The book I have chosen is Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler. For anyone unfamiliar with Tyler, she is the master of the quirky character--the lovable loser. She is one of my favorite authors, balancing humor and pathos through character study. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Breathing Lessons. It's a fairly quick read and I own a copy of the book if anyone would like to borrow it.
